ADORABLE VINTAGE CHILD'S hide pair of moccasins. They have notching on the ankle turn down, hard rawhide soles, beautiful beaded 3 diamond geometric designs on the toe, split tongues, native ties at ankles, sewn with thread and have back seams. I am not 100% sure what they are, possibly Canadian Cree. The hide is thin, soft, the color is a soft golden brown, but a creamy white on the inside. So, they are a mystery to me! They have been worn, not abused, they show soiling on the toes and just above the soles and retain the shape of the little feet that wore them. The bead colors are a beautiful transparent dark turquoise and cobalt blue.
SIZE: 7" LENGTH 3" WIDTH
CIRCA: 1960's to 70's (Maybe a little earlier, but would rather be later than wrong)
Slight odor of sweet grass, but other than that, nothing bad.
