BEAUTIFUL, VINTAGE, Native American Indian five (5) multi staggered in length strands of turquoise nuggets and sterling liquid silver necklace. The necklace has an overall, light, natural aged patina . The silver cones at the neck closure have the Navajo half sun with rays engraved on them, so I am assuming the necklace is Navajo made. It could, however, in all honesty, be from any of the beautiful pueblos in the southwest. This wonderful old necklace has a total of 44 lightly tumbled and lightly polished, irregular but well matched turquoise nuggets which show a variance in their color tones and their matrix (brown tones). Each nugget measures approximately 8mm. The square cut liquid silver beads have a slight twist to them which picks up the light and gives them a sparkle (when and if they are shined). Each strand is strung on double cord.
The necklace hangs 12 1/2" and the overall length is 24". Closure and strands are strong and ready to be worn. You only need to decide if you wish to shine the silver. I have only lightly shined with a silver cloth.
Total Weight: 48grams
Necklace wears nicely inside or outside a blouse or jacket collar. Or, you can layer several necklaces (see last photo) and go "Santa Fe Style".
