A VERY THOROUGH AND INTERESTING NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN BOOK about the tribe known as the Osage. Book was written by Gilbert C. Din and Abraham P. Nasatir. The book is a hardback with original dust cover and clear cover over that. The book was published in 1983 by the University of Oklahoma Press and is part of the "Civilization of The American Indian Series". It features a Table of Contents, Index and Bibliography. If you are not familiar with the Osage, you will find their history fascinating. In the early 1900's they were the richest tribe in the world all because their chief was smart enough to keep all the mineral rights in their new home known as Oklahoma. Osage county rapidly became the largest and richest oil and gas county in Oklahoma. Book is 432 pages.
CONDITION: Very Good! The book was a library book, but the good news is it is stamped: Hominy High School, Hominy, Oklahoma which is a town within the Osage reservation. (Yes, it is still called a reservation on maps).
Thank you for your interest! Book will be mailed "media rate" unless you contact me before paying that you prefer priority.
