THREE BEAUTIFUL, FULL STUDIO POSED, VERY FASHIONABLE, tin type photographs of 1800's period women. Each appears to have been shot in a different studio. The photograph featuring three women shows them dressed in beautiful dark dresses, the center lady is holding a beautiful, large, hat with a large bow. The photograph of the two women, shows each standing, one in a light colored dress and the other in a dark dress. They each are wearing fashionable hats of the period and each is holding a fashionable period umbrella. The photograph of the single woman shows her dressed in a beautiful, multi pleated horizontal and vertical pleated dress. She has a touch of white (lace?) at each of her cuffs and possibly a white fancy hankie at her waist. Her waist is tiny and shows a circle belt buckle. She is also wearing a hat. The tin size ranges from 2.5 to 3.7, but as you can see they are compatible in scale. The tintype photograph was very popular in the 1870's and 80's and continued into the very early 1900's.
CONDITION: All 3 have very light scratches and some roughness (?) of front surface, all signs consistent of aging. All 3 photographs came from an old farm estate in Chetopa, Kansas almost 30 years ago. Sorry, no identification on any of the 3.
Thank you for your interest! They will each come in an acid free sleeve inside a hard sided mailer.
