This is a very early Miriam Haskell beaded hand wired brooch. It has been verified and sold to me by a collector of Haskell and based on the materials and construction I have no doubt of its authenticity. It is unsigned as were all her earliest pieces. It is just shy of 2 1/4" diameter and multi-layered, rising approximately 1 1/16" from the setting. There is a mix of pink art glass beads in various sizes and shapes, white ceramic beads, aurora borealis and pink rhinestones all hand wired on a layered gold tone filigree base.
The pin is in very nice vintage condition and all the beads and rhinestones are clear, bright and secure. There is slight wear to the aurora borealis and a couple of the white ceramic beads have slight discoloration from the gold tone metal pins. The gold tone metal filigree discs show vintage wear and discoloration to be expected of older pieces such as this.
This is a very "pretty in pink" brooch and would be a nice addition to your Haskell collection.
