Among the many symbols of love the iconic heart is the most popular. So combining this iconic symbol and a necklace designed by the iconic designer Judith Leiber can only result in an exquisite piece of jewelry. Judith Leiber, known worldwide for her wonderful purses, also created a line of jewelry that also meets her high standards and are crafted with the finest materials by expert craftsman. THis necklace exemplifies this. It is striking and highly stylized. It is bold but not too bold. It is just right. THe necklace itself is long measuring 30" total in length. It has a drop of 14" not including the heart. The necklace consists of 26 spheres that connect to each other with jump rings. The spheres are a matte gold upon which there is a spiral of sorts (like soft serve ice cream from the machine). This spiral is raised and is done in shiny gold. The effect of these concentric circles is that of swirling frisbees. Fluidity and motion are implied. Great design! Each sphere has a diameter of 3/4" . The necklace closes with a ring clasp. The heart hangs from the middle of the necklace. It is a shiny and bright gold. It is stylized in shape. It appears to be puffy but there isn't any finished back. The red carnelian is bezel set in the middle of the heart. It is smooth, oval and the color is a soft red. The heart measures 1 3/4"h x 1 1/4"w. The back of the heart has the Judith Leiber identification tag engraved in it. There are very little signs of wear to this piece although one sphere has a bit of plate wear. THis necklace is charming and unique. It is certainly an attention getter and at the same time, it is timeless. Hearts and Leiber forever!!!!!! COndition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
