This fabulous demi parure by CIner, circa 1970(?), demonstrates why the Ciner brand has been in demand for over a century. Ciner began designing fine jewelry for the wealthy and proceeded to create a line of costume jewelry specifically for the middle class that was supposed to look like the "real thing." They have succeeded and still maintain a successful business. This demi parure is very striking because of the intense colors used. THe pendant/ brooch is an enameled heart with concentric hearts surrounding a floating carved glass heart. THe concentric hearts are enameled in a bright pumpkin orange color and a bright red orange color. THe enameling is not matte but has shine to it and it has a brushed effect. There is a floating glass heart in the middle, it is meant to move and is not stationary. The heart is a carved glass charm in a light honey color. THe carvings are that of flowers. It is intricately detailed and is prong set. The back has a ring for pendant wear and the brooch has a safety locking mechanism. CINER is stamped onto the back. It is definitely a special piece. The measurements are 2"l x 2"w. The earrings are swirl shaped and are enameled in the same bright colors. They have the same finish as the brooch and are a thick circular swirl. There are thin goldtone lines differentiating the colors. THey are clip on earrings. Both earrings are stamped CINER on the closure mechanism. They have a diameter of 1.15". THis set is in great condition with no obvious signs of wear or age. BOth the earrings and the brooch are so cool and stylish. These tropical colors would go great on a white or brown outfit or again on that black dress. Sure to be noticed, sure to be admired. COndition: Excellent VINTAGE COndition
