Elegant, alluring and feminine are words to describe this gorgeous Victorian/Edwardian pendant necklace worthy of any duchess or countess. Although not marked, this necklace has all the indications of Bohemian/ Czechoslovakian glass. The color of the glass stones are that of lapis, the entire necklace and pendant reflect that deep and serene blue. The stones on the necklace are oval shaped and are multi faceted. Each is bezel set onto a panel of antiqued brassy metal that connects to the next panel with small rings. This gives it a cutout and frilly effect. Thee are 31 stones in all. The dangling pendant also has this filigree effect as well as the cut work . It is a brassy metal with an antiqued patina. THe oval large blue glass stone in the middle is set in a decorative bezel. It is multi faceted and thus is able to reflect light in different directions. There are three hanging stones dangling from the bottom of the pendant. Two are small glass rounds and the very bottom one is cylinder shaped. THe pendant measures 2 1/2" from top to bottom. THe necklace closes with a classic round clasp. The necklace measures almost 17" without counting the clasp. The necklace is in great shape. There is the smallest amount of green on the brass at the back of the piece near the clasp. Not a big deal. For all you Downton Abbey fans: Couldn't you just see the Dowager Countess (Maggie Smith) wearing this fabulous necklace? For everyone else: Couldn't you see this necklace on a sexy black dress with strappy heels? Or could you see it on the bride dressed in white walking down the aisle. Take your choice, it works all ways. Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
