What an unusual and funky handbag! Probably from the 1950's this bag has no identification or country of origin. However who or where doesn't really matter since the appearance is clever, amusing and is a statement maker. The bag is rectangular in shape. There are rounded corners at the top. It is covered with a fabric that appears to be similar to crepe. It doesn't and isn't supposed to be perfectly flat against its hard insides. The color is a deep purple aubergine, the color of an eggplant. Although it is the background it doesn't take second place in the bag's appearance. Now for the fun: There are large "floating" half circles made out of felt. They are positioned on one side of the body of the purse very near the edge. They go around the bottom to the other side where they are similarly positioned. The are made of felt . The front has a hot pink "half moon" and a lavender one. An additional hot pink half circle goes around the bottom and meets another pink and lavender half moon on the back. Very "Pac Man" looking. Abstract and geometric and fun! There is a simple shiny gold tone frame with a push up tab to open and close the bag. There are two carry straps made from the same aubergine fabric. The drop is 7". The inside is lined with a black fabric. There isn't any pockets or identification. The inside is in very good condition. It is a little dusty. The measurements of the bag are 6"h x 8"w x 2"d. The bag is in wonderful shape. The inside of the frame shows some indications of wear and age. One look says it all......so cool! Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
