Pauline Rader was a very talented jewelry designer of the late mid century. She designed jewelry for a very short period of time so that her items remain rare and are highly collectible. Whether it is a bracelet with an antiquity appearance, an ethnic necklace or a more modern brooch, all of her designs stand out and make a statement. This is a lovely and colorful bracelet. It is a clamper style and has a gold tone metal base. There is detailed and elaborate enameling throughout the bracelet. The background of the bangle is a denim blue (a color that is not often found). There are ten accents that resemble a paisley shape. The shape is bordered with milli gold sand "beads" that define the shape. The shape is most interesting as it appears to be a paisley within a paisley. The larger paisley is painted a bright turquoise color. The inner paisley is raised with clusters of red coral like colored beads. It is also bordered with these tiny gold dots. All the accents have depth and dimension and provide a special look to the bracelet. The bracelet shuts tightly and the inner side of the bracelet is gold tone. There "Pauline Rader" cartouche is affixed inside. The measurements are 2 3/4"outer diameter, 2 1/4” inner diameter, 1/2"h. The outer circumference is approximately 9". This is a striking bracelet that is very "beachy" looking and at the same time has the colors of Egyptian Revival jewelry. Sure to be noticed, sure to be enjoyed!
