In the style of Miriam Haskell, Stanley Hagler began his own jewelry business in the 1950's. His work was hand done and items were comprised with simulated pearls, Swarovski crystals and colorful seed beads. Work was often done in the wire work style, as are many Haskell pieces. He moved to Florida in the 1980's and hired two craftsmen as his apprentices, one being Ian St. Gielar, who continued to design his own pieces after Hagler's death. I date this piece to be from the later part of the 20th century judging by the trademarks on the pieces. This set consists of a necklace with a large pendant and clip on earrings. The colors of the glass beads, accents and tiny seed beads are robins blue, bubble gum pink and snowy white. Definitely "fun" colors and very spring like. The necklace has double strands on both sides of the pendant. There are white glass beads covered with pink and blue dots. The glass beads approximate the size of a chick pea. The beads are interspersed with a tiny blue beads. There is a large statement making pendant in the middle. It measures almost 3' long and 2 " wide. It is floral in theme with small and large flowers made from the small beads and there even are beads in the shape of flowers. There is a very large marbled pink stone that is set in a decorative bezel. There are 3 tear drop shaped white glass dangles on the bottom. The piece is layered creating dimension and depth. This entire piece is created on a gold tone filigree backing and some of the work is done with wire. The double strands have two decorative accent pieces that attach to a hook closure on one side and a extender chain made of the glass rounds on the other side. The necklace is just lovely. The earrings are also large with a 1 1/2" diameter. The beads again form flowers and they are layered. Again the gold tone backings are filigree. They are clip on and the original pads are there. The necklace is marked with two plaques: Stanley Hagler N.Y.C and Ian St. Gielar. Both earrings have the Ian St Gielar plaque. The necklace measures 21 " in length which includes the 4" extender chain. The set is in great condition without any issues to note. This set is so much fun. It is happy, cheerful and feminine. Absolutely gorgeous with a white dress. For some reason it reminds me of an ice cream cone with pastel sprinkles. That's how much "fun" this necklace is. Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
