I love handbags with linear lines. To me, they are so neat and tailored. This small shoulder bag by Giotti is such a bag. It is probably from the 1980's when many Italian handbag companies were experimenting with plastic handbags. Giotti is a store in Florence, Italy that is known for its stylistic and trendy designs. This bag is made of a deep black lucite. The bag is predominantly plastic slots that are connected. These slots are similar to wooden "pop sticks". They are rounded on the ends and narrower than pop sticks. They are placed horizontally and visually resemble a "roll top" desk. The bottom of the bag is rounded. The top of the front and back is a larger section of simple and flat black plastic. The bag opens and closes with two internal magnetic snaps. The shoulder strap is spectacular. It is jewelry quality. There are large and thick black plastic bar segments . They measure 4"h X 1/2"w x 1/8"d. They are connected to very shiny gold tone connectors that have a round ball in between the round rings. It has a drop of 19". It is great looking. The inside is lined with "suede" like fabric. The gold "Giotti Made in Florence" gold label is inside. The inside is in very good condition. The bag measures 6"h x 6"w x 1"d. The bag is in wonderful condition. There are a few minor scuffs in the plastic, as expected. This design of this bag is amazing. It has many straight lines and yet a major feature is the curved and rounded bottom. Sort of a ying-yang. Very simple yet eye catching. A nice fashion staple to add to your purse collection. Condition: Excellent- VINTAGE Condition
