You cant help but notice this egg shaped minaudiere designed in Italy during the 1970/80's. It screams "disco." It was bought at a boutique in the famed Montelepone in Milan, Italy. It is egg or oval shaped. It is a very shiny silver tone with a mirror like sheen. It is hard cased. The are many jeweled like glass stones deeply set in holes on the surface. These stones are multi faceted and the manner in which they are set gives the purse depth and dimension. The stone are emerald green, white diamond, ruby red, cobalt blue and yellowy topaz. They sparkle and enhance the disco vibe of the bag. The purse opens with a mod mechanism that is of the kiss lock type. There is a sturdy piano hinge on the bottom. There is a long braided silver carry chain with a drop of 21". The chain is a very decorative and is obviously high quality. There is an optional mechanism within the bag that allows the chain to be neatly tucked inside and the bag worn as a clutch. The inside is lined in a durable black velvet pattern. There is a cloth label stating "Made in Italy." The inside is in great shape without signs of wear or age. The measurements of the bag are 6"w x 4 1/2"h x 2"d. The bag is in wonderful condition. There are minuscule signs of usage and time. There appears to be 2 replacement stones on the bottom of the bag. The purse is striking and statement making. It definitely catches the essence of its time. Worn with a black, white or a silver outfit, you will "Dance the Night Away" a la Van Halen. Excellent: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
