This mini bag is a small version of a popular bag that was made during the 1940's-'50's which combined a fabric bag body with a large and striking lucite, bakelite or catalin frame. The body of this small gem is made of a black faille fabric, possibly silk but probably rayon. The material is striped and tightly ruched at the top, resulting in gentle pleats throughout the body. It has a "poofy" effect. There is a zig -zag lucite frame that has sharp edges and is very angular. The bag opens with a knob that is pushed in order to open the bag. The inside is a silky black fabric and there is an open slip pocket. The inside is very clean. There are two carry straps made of the faille fabric. The drop is 4" to the top point of the frame, 6+" to the top of the bag body. The inside is very clean. The measurements of the bag are 6 1/2"w x 6 1/2"h x 2 1/2"d (at the bottom). The purse is in great condition without any issues to mention. This is a darling bag that is perfect for times when keys, some cash and a lipstick is all that is needed. Simplicity in design and function.....there's something to be said for that! Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
