You can't get anymore classic than this bag. Designed by the British high end Waldybag company, this brand was the most prominent of its kind during the mid century. The company was created in the 1920's and its designs are displayed in the V&A museum. Waldybags were worn by the royal family in the UK as well as other European royalty and Hollywood celebrities. This bag is a typical Kelly bag. I believe the leather to be ostrich although it is not labeled. However, I doubt that such a high end company would use anything but genuine ostrich leather and not disclose it. Anyway, the appearance is sublime with the quill bumps floating throughout with great texture and depth. There is stitching around the border of the bag. The color is a classic camel color. This color is great to accessorize almost any other colored outfit. It is a very wearable color. There are two rolled leather handles (a bit floppy-easily remedied by hanging on a door knob over time). The handles are secured in the front with rolled leather accents. The drop is 4 1/2". There is a shiny gold tone decorative clap. The inside is lined with a suede lining that has the appearance of pigskin. It is a light tan color. There are three open slip pockets. The black leather identification label has "Exclusive Waldybag Reg Made in England" inscribed on it. The inside is clean but there are indication of age and wear and a few small spots. The bag measures 9 1/4"w x 7"h x 2 1/2"d. This bag is in very good condition. As mentioned, there are minor issues inside but the exterior is in fabulous condition. This bag is a timeless classic by a luxury brand of its time. It was good enough for Her Majesty the Queen. That says a lot!!!! Condition: Excellent- - Vintage Condition
