Lanvin, the oldest fashion house in France, created many stunning and head turning pendants. In fact, that time in fashion history is known as "the Lanvin era." Jeanne Lanvin insisted that all items produced be of the highest quality and design whether the item is classic or on the "cutting edge." This pendant is a definite statement piece. It is huge and over sized. It is modernistic. It's shape is rectangular with rounded corners.
It is a very shiny gold tone metal with a shine that is mirror like. The pendant is not flat but has a soft curve to it. This gives it dimension and interest. The design is fairly simple but in its simplicity it makes a huge statement. There are two grooved vertical lines that are recessed and done is a brushed like gold tone. These accents are not situated in the middle of the pendant but are positioned off to the right. This imbalance is typical of a iconic design house such as Lanvin. It creates a soft tension which again adds interest to the piece. The back is a brushed gold tone. The "Lanvin Paris" cartouche is affixed to the back. The shiny gold tone bale is scrolled and circular. There isn't any chain but any necklace of your liking would work. The pendant measures 2 1/2"w x 3"h x 1/2"d. The pendant is in great condition. The shiny gold tone metal has very few faint scratches which is amazing for such a vintage item. There is a small spot on the back which shows wear or age. Matched with an appropriate necklace, this pendant , simple as it may be, is an example of the "Lanvin era" at its best. Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
