What a pretty bracelet! Decorated with what appears to be real garnets(according to a jeweler friend), this bracelet is so versatile that it can be worn with a dressy outfit or with jeans. It can be worn alone or in a mix with others. It is sterling silver and is marked 925 on the clasp. The stones are large (by eye, comparable to just under a one carat oval diamond) and they are bright with an iridescent glow. The color is not a deep merlot but rather seems to be a deep red or claret. They are prong set and the entire casing for the stones is masterfully done. There are 9 stones. The stones connect to accents that are done in open work and have marcasites that are the real thing, namely iron pyrite. These accents have an art deco flair. There are 8 accent pieces. This closes with a good safety clasp that is adorned with a milgrain decoration. The clasp is a fold done type. This bracelet was probably hand made. The bracelet measures 7 3/4" including the clasp. It weighs 25 grams. The bracelet is in great condition without any signs of wear or age. It is really beautiful....artfully done by an obviously skilled jeweler. It is timeless, classy and classic. Really lovely! Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
