Judith Leiber's unique characteristics that go into producing her purses, such as distinctive style, expert craftsmanship and timeless design, are also found in her line of jewelry. This necklace, circa 1980's (?), is an Asian inspired cloisonné pendant piece with a bit of panache. The pendant is a deep rust or caramel colored large round piece with a floral cloisonné design. The flowers are stylized and seem to pop because of their bright colors. The flowers seem to "grow" upwards from the bottom of the piece. There is a faint design in the background done in gold lines. The piece has a diameter of 2". Absolutely beautiful!!!!! There is a "bunch" or cluster of small caramel glass beads at the top and bottom of the piece. Under the bottom cluster is a long black hand knotted silk cord that culminates in a thick tassel. The entire piece including the beads and tassel measures 7" long. There is a hand knotted design at the top of the pendant upon which continues a gorgeous intricately woven necklace, The necklace has hand woven knots and is obviously the work of an expert craftsman. The necklace closes with a knot of this silk cord which fits into a braided loop. There is a small silver tone tag attached indicating "Judith Leiber." The cord measures 23". The necklace is in fabulous condition. This is a very distinctive necklace that is timeless and eye catching. In fact, I have a similar one in my own collection and it never ceases to command attention and positive compliments. Another Leiber winner! Condition: Excellent VINTAGE Condition
