How do you like your eggs? I prefer mine in the Faberge fashion but a Ciner creation will also do. Here for your liking, is a jeweled pendant egg by the famous Ciner company. Ciner, a company in existence since the late 19th century is known for making costume jewelry that visually duplicates the "real thing". I don't known if this egg would be mistaken for a Faberge one, but I do know that this Ciner egg is an elegant and unusual statement piece. The egg is quite large measuring 1 1/2"in length by 1 1/4" wide. Although very substantial, it is very light to wear. It is obviously oval shaped and is three dimensional. It's background is a golden colored enamel. The color is rich and regal. On top of this golden background there is a decorative stylized pattern of leaves and flowers. The pattern is raised on the gold tone enamel and the characteristics of the design are trimmed in a delicately "dotted" gold tone metal. The leaves are done in a rusty brown enamel and the "flowers" are bezel set rust and gold colored glass stones. The entire pattern is very curvy reflecting the curvature of the egg. There is a small gold tone panel stating "CINER" on the bottom of the egg. There is a gold tone necklace with small decorative links that has a drop of almost 14 inches. When flat it measures almost 28". It closes with a lobster claw closure. The entire piece is in wonderful shape without any issues. Reminiscent of an older time, this egg is an 20th century take on some of the most coveted articles of jewelry of all time, the "Imperial Faberge eggs." Gorgeously created by Ciner, the hand work and detailing are exceptional and the craftsmanship is superior. The piece is stunning, unusual and timeless. A definite keeper!!!!
