"Less is More" sometimes best describes a piece of jewelry. This Karl Lagerfeld choker, circa 1990's, is an example of this. Sometimes that statement piece or sautoir necklace just needs a little something more to complete the look. This choker completes that task. Very simply stated the necklace is a shiny gilt gold choker whose links are just big enough to be noticed but not too big to overtake the look. THe curb link chain is chunky, thick and substantial. It is simple yet regal looking. It exudes good taste and confidence. The clasp consists of two "box" shapes each having one initial of the designer Karl Lagerfeld, namely the K and the L. Each box has a raised frame or border. The clasp closes with a push in mechanism. This closure can be worn in the back of the chain, towards the side or in the middle. Each position creates a different effect. The back of the clasp has the round identification cartouche with the KL initials. This necklace is in great condition without any significant indicators of wear and age. The choker measures 17 1/2" including the clasp which measures 1" x 1/2". Although "less is more", in this case the less is designed by iconic designer Karl Lagerfeld and consequently it has more than its fair share of quality, pizzazz and style.
