Exceptional pair of antique Edwardian earrings hand-crafted in sterling silver and adorned by the doomed glowing natural translucent green chrysoprase cabochons and natural clear sky semi-transparent moonstones with blue "schiller"- the effect of adularescence , which gives an impression of lunar light floating on water. The colour and shape of the stones match perfectly and compliment each other in this sumptuous palette.
For its incredible beauty, antique chrysoprase often mistaken for Imperial Jade, yet it is not as fragile as jadeite jade.
Elements of design suggest that these stunning earrings were created at the point when Victorian fashion changed toward Edwardian & Art Nouveau. This sophisticated style became very popular at the turn of the century and was executed by the best jewelry makers.

Condition: superb , all gemstones are in immaculate state . Most likely, they had a screw fastenings before, which were upgraded to posts at some point for the latest fashion.
Size approx : each earring is 1,1/4" x 1/2" (32 mm x 13 mm), posts are 11 mm long with maximum usable length 8 mm, moonstone cabochons 5mm x 4mm each, large tear shape chrysoprase cabochons 1/2" x 5/16" (13 mm x 8 mm) each
Materials: sterling silver / 925(carefully acid tested), genuine/natural moonstones, genuine/natural chrysoprase (which is the most valuable type of agate)
