This antique cup and saucer was made in Dresden by the renowned porcelain factory of Helena Wolfsohn and has the 1880-1891 mark. It is in excellent condition - no chips, loss of gilding etc. - and has the translucent quality so typical of great Dresden porcelain. It has a swirl of hand-painted flowers, each a little different in style and color and has a gilded scalloped edge to the saucer. The saucer measures 5 inches round and the teacup is 2 by 3 1/4 inches with a double handle. A superb quality piece of porcelain for the serious collector or the beginner who loves beautiful porcelain.
