Presented here is a stunning sterling silver pitcher made by Gorham after Paul de Lamerie, the greatest English silversmith of the 18th century. His objects sell for thousands of dollars at Christies and other auction houses and in museums. This pitcher was made by Gorham as a tribute to his work and has wonderful scroll work on the rim, feet and handle. It measures 4 1/2 by 6 inches and is in excellent condition with no repairs, dents or scratches. The Gorham mark (Z) indicates it was made in 1958. It is heavy silver weighing 285 grams of sterling. Gorham is well known as a great American silversmith dating from 1848 to the present. A great piece of workmanship to admire and treasure.
