Here is a splendid example of French cameo glass from the early 1900's or before. De Vez was a contemporary of Galle, Mueller Frere, D,Argental and other French glass makers of the period. This one is quite spectacular as it is formed from pale yellow to lovely brilliant peachy red to avocado green. It has great color contrast and the markings look like something out of the West Indies with great flora and fauna. Made during the Art Nouveau/Art Deco period in French glass making, this is a truly unusual piece. It is in perfect condition although it does have one little imperfection near one of the leaves which was caused when the piece was made and is not a condition issue. It measures 2 inches wide and 7 inches tall. Just in time for holiday gift giving or keeping.
