Here is a superb example of English silver craftsmanship in the form of a card case, originally a cigarette case. It is hallmarked, Birmingham 1888 and is in excellent condition. At a later time, it was fashioned into a real card case with moire material hand-fitted with card compartments on either side. It is heavy sterling silver weighing over 130 grams. It measures 3 by 4 inches. Besides its lovely pattern, there is room for initials on the silver circle in the middle on either side. A real gem and a highly useable piece as well. Thank you for your interest in this lovely item.
