Here is a tiny cup in the Imari pattern and manufactured by John Murtlock (1789-1833) of London. It measures 1 1/2 by 2 inches and is all hand-painted. It probably was made as a sample of wares at the time. It is c.1800 and in excellent condition - no cracks or paint loss and the gilding is pristine. A rare find from an old porcelain manufacturer that also worked closely with the English Royal Family. Thanks for your interest in this very early piece of porcelain.
