Love this pin box. It is Art Nouveau (18901-1910) and made by the famous Pairpoint Co which started in 1880 in New Bedford, Mass.
They were known for their fine glass and heavy silver plate. This one is marked "quadruple plate or plated four times! I guess the name "pin dish" got its name from these lady's hair pin boxes or dishes. This one measures 2 3/4 by 5 inches and is in excellent condition. It has the familiar Art Nouveau flourishes including sprays of leaves and flowers throughout the box and the four little feet as well. The hair pin on the front adds a whimsical touch. It would be hard to find another one in such good condition.
