Rare, Exceptional, and Very Large Scottish Victorian period 19th C 9ct gold dirk pin with agates and citrine
This piece is being sold from my private, personal collection - I have always cherished it for its beauty, uniqueness, and quality workmanship
Very nice antique condition with only minor wear commensurate with age and use
This dirk is exquisitely designed with lots of detail, depth and dimension
It was made to be worn on a kilt but also looks amazing on a coat, sweater, jacket, dress or hat
The gold is meticulously hand engraved
The majority of antique Scottish jewelry was made of sterling silver; to find a piece made of gold is quite rare
The stones are carved so they curve around the front of the brooch.
The large faceted stone at the top, as well as the 2 smaller faceted stones, are citrine.
Original C-hook clasp is secure
Measures 4 inches (10.2 cm) X .50 inch (13 mm) X .50 inch (13mm) deep
Weighs 21 grams
