In my over 35 years selling really special antique pieces, I’ve rarely seen another as lovely as this one. I am reluctantly selling it now out of my private, personal collection.

Masterful workmanship was required to create this very special piece - the veery small tesserae are placed very tightly which is an indication of its age and superior quality.

The small original photographs in the oval openings are of a baby boy and a very sweet young girl with a big bow in her hair; there is no glass covering the photos

Excellent antique condition with only minor wear commensurate with age and use; glass missing;
