A complete set of 55 full-sized ebony and cow bone dominoes, each with a central brass pin. They descend from double nines, rather than the more common double sixes, and are consequently much rarer, and it is even more difficult to find a complete, matched set.
They are housed in a neat box with a green baize base which is larger than the set and is probably not original. It is stained a mahogany colour but close inspection (see pictures) shows it to be made of plywood, a popular material in the 1930s.
Please note that I have not cleaned either the dominoes or the box other than a light dusting. The marks visible on the box (and much more visible on the photo than to the eye) would remove easily and I can do that on request
