A delightful matched pair of Royal Worcester posy vases, hand painted with pheasants, one signed James Stinton, one unsigned. The shape is G161.
These have probably been together since they were originally purchased and they make a fine pair. The unsigned one carries the puce mark, date coded for 1928. The Stinton example has a green mark, date coded for 1925.
Unfortunately the Stinton example has a chip to the base, virtually invisible in display, and which I have photographed in close-up. Both are in lovely condition apart from the chip. I can see no wear to the gilding.
It's a little difficult to measure this fluted, rounded shape, but they measure approximately 2.7 inches in height and three inches in diameter (7cm x 7.5cm).
I have more photos and of course can take more. Just ask.
