A superb Royal Dux centrepiece, the bowl with water lilies surmounted by a nymph pouring water into the bowl. A cheeky cherub is holding out his hand to catch the water as it falls.
Measurement is difficult with so complex a piece, but it measures approximately 14 inches across the bowl, and 11.5 inches to the top of the nymph's head. I can find no damage apart from a possible flake at the tip of the cherub's left wing, which I have attempted to photograph.
It carries the applied pink porcelain triangle mark for 1900 to 1947 but must be nearer the earlier date. There is an impressed pattern number 2336.
