The 1/4" thick heavy glass of this vintage coin bank is impressive in it's thickness and the advertising from a Topeka, Kansas bank lends history or if you want, remove the print remnants and have a nice bright vintage glass bank. On close inspections, except for a few tiny pits, the glass of this bank is bright and clear without that haze of scratched glass. (apologies, for the background red-the glass is clear) The metal has some wear with tiny pits, but for it's age, this bank is in wonderful condition. Including the metal base and top metal loop and lock, the bank is 6" tall and 3 1/2" in diameter. The glass is 4" tall and 3" in diameter. Hold the bank in your hands and it's 1lb. 11oz. weight leaves no doubt that this is a serious bank. The metal top loop is held on now with a small loop of wire, it could be replaced with a small pin for more ease of opening-or not! I love old glass!
