Though my research on this Native American child celluloid photo mirror is not complete, I wanted to put it in the shop to see if anyone might see it and contact me. A connection with Fort Sills and Oklahoma Native American photos was made by the person from whom I made the purchase as well as another local dealer. The unsmiling (lipstick wearing?) young girl pictured is bare chested wrapped and seated in a native blanket and around her neck is a large round medallion hanging from a ribbon. 2 3/4" X 2" in size, the metal frame is without rust, the mirror is intact with only some tiny spotting of silver loss and the picture is clear with only mild rubbing to the protective surface. Though the glass has some discoloration and the photo has some tiny brown spots, the artistic and historical documentation in this piece is clear.
