Midcentury Vintage Gooseneck Dazor Bronze Retro Desk Lamp
This vintage 'Bronze Metallic' mid century Dazor, model 1000, desk lamp sits on the desk in the office of Lieutenant Anita Van Buren on the TV show Law and Order. No, I didn't get it from the prop room but since I purchased the lamp at an estate sale, who knows.... I also purchased two new florescent bulbs to test the lamp's working order and found that the lamp is in good working order. The two new bulbs will be included with the lamp purchase. Beyond the electrical connections being good, this cool retro lamp is in very good vintage condition meaning it does have small scratches here and there and some dulling to the finish, but little damage beyond "normal" wear and tear from 35+ years of use. There are two small areas where paint is gone from a scratch, one 2" line scratch inside the shade and about a 1" scratch on two corners of the shade. The lamp was made in St. Louis, MO and is 16″L × 21″W × 14″H. These measurements are when the lamp is in a typical configuration with the bendable tubes attached to the lamp shade bending the lamp over so that light hits the surface on which the lamp sits. If the shade is pulled so that it sits with light shining forward, it sits about 19" tall. The two buttons that sit in the middle top of the base are the on/off switches and are one red and one black. This is a great metal retro industrial style lamp that brings with it bragging rights that it may have made an appearance on Law and Order!
