Marvelous, large pot metal flower brooch, circa late '30s-'40s boasts superbly enameled flower blossoms in pink and red, leaves in blended two tone greens and selected stems in black. Three riveted rhinestone rosettes (clears surrounding a red center) add excitement. Additional stems shine in gold tone, while riveted blossom backs and rhinestone rosettes are finished in silver tone. Beautifully enameled and embellished throughout. In original and untouched condition.
The brooch measures approximately 3 1/2 inches x 2 3/4 inches at it's widest point with a maximum 1/2 inch profile or height. Clear chaton rhinestones are about 3 millimeters. Weight of the brooch is approximately 36 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All enamel intact, retaining colors and magnificent luster. Little to negligible wear. Gold tone and silver tone finish on period base pot metal intact, front and back. All "white" rhinestones uniformly clear and brilliant. No cloudy, dark or dead stones. Red center rhinestones retain color and sparkle. All riveting secure. All soldering secure. No dents or improper bends to metal. Pin mechanism and locking wheel strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
The brooch is not signed or the mark is worn / obscured. There is what looks to be two tiny circles or zeros impressed on reverse of one leaf -- you may be able to see them in bottom photo. The brooch is in the style of Coro and Trifari enameled flowers of the period. Circa late '30s-'40s.
