Karu Arke Inc., Karu and Karu Fifth Avenue were trademarks of Kaufman & Ruderman of New York (circa 1940s-1970s). The company excelled at creating colorful combination of stones, exemplified by the clip earrings presented. An autumnal palette of wonderful topaz, olivine green and aurora borealis rhinestones share the stage with a center marquise in topaz. The work is reminiscent of Weiss' with all chaton stones multi prong set in similar design, style and quality. Gorgeous color and sparkle. Karu at it's best.
The earrings measure a generous 1 1/4 inches x 1 inch with a 1/4 inch profile or height. Center marquise is approximately 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Chatons are about 9 millimeters and 4 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is approximately 16 grams.
