Sleek black navette rhinestones flanked by finely textured golden strands are featured in this '60 vintage foliate brooch and earrings set in gold plated brass from Napier. Similar French clip earrings can be seen on page 352 of Melinda L. Lewis' book "The Napier Co.". Signature high quality materials and workmanship are evidenced in the set presented, as were the standards at Napier.
The set includes the brooch, at approximately 3 1/4 inches x 13/16 inch at it's widest point with a 3/8 inch profile or height and the French clip earrings, at about 1 1/2 inches x 5/8 inch. Black glass navettes are approximately 10 millimeters x 3 millimeters. Weight of the set is approximately 16 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components original and intact. All black glass rhinestone free from chips, nicks, cracks, or breaks, retaining lustrous jet black sheen. All gold plated finish intact, fronts and backs of all pieces. No dents or improper bends to metal. All soldering neat and secure. Pin mechanism and earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
Reverse of brooch signed: "NAPIER". Each original earring clip signed: "NAPIER" followed by copyright symbol. Circa 1960s.
