We've seen these earrings variously described as Juliana, Weiss and Schiaparelli. Juliana style, Schiaparelli stones and Weiss construction. While the earrings have some characteristics of all three, we're not sure who the maker is. The quality is top notch -- with materials running the gamut -- huge Colorado topaz colored rhinestones, accents chaton rhinestones in topaz and lilac, molded iridescent art glass marquises (picking up the golds and violets) and translucent iridescent topaz nugget style glass dangle beads. Absolutely beautiful coordination of colors and textures. Whoever the maker may be -- kudos for a job well done.
The gold tone. climber style clip earrings measures approximately 1 3/4 inches long (including bead dangle) x 1 1/8 inches at their widest with a 1/2 inch profile. Largest Colorado topaz chatons are about 12 millimeters; bead dangles, approximately 10 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is about 34 grams.
Condition is excellent / near pristine vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining colors and brilliance. Art glass marquises free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Stunning iridescence with gold and violet flashes. All bead dangles intact with no damage. All gold tone finish intact, fronts and backs. All soldering secure. No bent or misshapen metal components. Clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Near pristine vintage.
The earrings are not signed. Top shelf in every way. They date circa 1960s.
