From Sarah Coventry's summer collection of 1974, "Sonnet" features six oval marbled faux gemstones cabochons, mock bezel set on a gold tone mesh band secured by a floral embossed fold over clasp. Cab colors are swirled / marbled shades of salmon, green, red, lavender, brown, and turquoise blue. The bracelet is featured in Sandra Sturdivant and Shirley Crabtree's "Sarah Coventry Jewelry" -- style #9937 from 1974. It remains as impressive today as when created -- some 41 years later.
The bracelet measures approximately 7 inches with fold over clasp x 1 inch wide with a 5/16 inch profile or height. Cabochons are about 18 millimeters x 13 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is approximately 40 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All component original and intact. All cabs free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Superb colors and luster. All gold tone finish intact, front and back. Nominal wear on reverse of clasp only. All mesh free from snags, pulls, kinks, dents or bends. Wonderful flexible fit and feel. All soldering secure. Clasp strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent / near pristine vintage.
Reverse of clasp is signed: "SARAH COV". The bracelet dates to 1974.
