A bit of a conundrum...Weiss or Kramer? More of that later. The glorious rhinestone star earrings featured, circa 1960s, burn brightly with six rake set marquises topped with a chaton rhinestone. Extra bling is supplied with an outline of round brilliants. All the content you crave in your costume -- substantial size, dimensional drama, and superb sparkle. Star power from Weiss / Kramer.
The clip earrings measure a generous approximate 1 3/8 inches across with a 1/2 inch profile or dome. Marquises are about 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Weight of the earrings pair is approximately 20 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components appear original and are intact. All rhinestones intact and brilliant. No dark or dead stones. All silver tone finish intact, fronts and backs. No dents, improper bends or collapse. All soldering secure. Earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
One earring clip is signed: "WEISS" , the other: "KRAMER". Normally we might think one of the clips had been replaced. However, it appears that the clips are original to the earrings -- the findings, connections and finish on both, virtually the same. No manipulation is evident. We have included some photos for your to peruse. Both of these companies produced a wide variety of jewelry and were in business during the same period. We're not positive which manufactured these earrings. They date circa 1960s.
