Coro's speared and spiked silvery leaf pin blossoms with smoky quartz rhinestone and white faux pearl rosettes in it's '60s vintage brooch. The rhinestone / imitation pearl blossoms or buds follow the leaf's curl from stem to tip. Finish is in both matte and shiny silver tone. Wonderfully detailed design with superb dimension. Coro turns the ubiquitous leaf into a glittering, lustrous adornment, as appropriate today as when created.
Coro began operations in 1901, ending it's US run business in 1979. Along with Trifari, Kramer and Weiss it dominated the US costume jewelry market for decades. It's portfolio was huge, including myriad designs for single pieces, sets or full parures. Coro's reign was long and successful as the preeminent maker of American costume jewelry.
