The Primavera family of Italy formed the Danecraft company in 1934. Located in Providence, the firm remains in business, crafting high quality jewels in sterling, gold fill and base metals. The vintage bracelet presented in sterling silver, consists of five links of beautifully chased and embossed filigree domes topped with exquisitely cut faux amethyst ovals. Stones are unfoiled and open back set. The high domed, open work settings allow light to pass through, igniting the rich purple glow of the faceted glass stones. The bracelet measures about 7 inches x 3/4 inch with a 3/8 inch profile with a fold over clasp and detachable safety chain. Simulated amethyst oval are approximately 12 millimeters x 10 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is about 28 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All imitation amethyst stones free from chips, nicks, cracks or breaks. Gorgeous matched purple color and crisp, faceted brilliance. Sterling silver settings free from dents, improper bends or collapse. All domes retain shape and loft. All connections secure. Clasp and safety chain secure. Sterling retains incredible, as created finish -- no stains, discoloration, tarnish or wear. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs.
Reverse of an end link is signed within an oval cartouche: "STERLING" underscored with the registered mark and "DANECRAFT". The clasp is also signed: "STERLING". Safety chain clasp has a 12k gold fill mark. Bracelet's design, materials, construction and overall presentation in conjunction with it signage suggest a 1960s-1970s vintage.
