The D. Lisner company was founded in New York near the turn of the 20th century. The "Lisner" mark was used on jewelry between 1938 until approximately 1985. Rhinestones were a mainstay for the firm, yielding to colorful thermoset or resin pieces produced mainly from the 1950s to early 1970s. Many featured botanical or organic themes, as the set presented. In silver tone, with tomato red molded melon style berries and silvery leaves and stems, it is accented with clear chaton rhinestones. The necklace is comprised of twelve links suspended on bilateral "paper clip" chains. Clip earrings are climber style.
The necklace is adjustable to about 16 inches with ball charmed extension chain and hook closure. Decorative center spans about 9 1/2 inches with a width of 9/16 inch. Earrings are about 1 1/4 inches x 1 inch. Berries are approximately 17 millimeters x 12 millimeters; rhinestones about 3 millimeters. Weight of the necklace and earring set is approximately 52 grams.
