The D. Lisner Company of New York City, founded in 1904 used the "Lisner" mark from 1938 until approximately 1985. Especially known for it's molded plastic or resin leaf jewelry, the company also produced many colorful rhinestone ensembles such as the necklace and earrings set presented, circa 1950s-1960s. In gorgeous autumnal colors of topaz, citrine and peridot, stone cuts include chaton, pear and marquise. The demi includes the necklace, consisting of eight swirled panels joined by connector links and gentle crescent clip climber earrings. Finishes vary on the set, comparable to what you might see on vintage Hollycraft -- a mix of gold tone or brass tone and soft silver tone.
The necklace is adjustable to about 16 1/2 inches with hook closure and charmed extension chain. Decorative center spans approximately 10 1/4 inches x 5/8 inch with 1/4 inch thickness. Matching clip earrings are about 1 1/6 inches x 5/8 inch. Largest chatons are approximately 7 millimeters. Weight of the set is about 74 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact, retaining color and sparkle. No dead stones. No chips, cracks, or breaks to stones. Metal finish has some wear, commensurate with age. All soldering and connections secure. Necklace closure and earring clips strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of each original earring clip is signed "LISNER" with copyright symbol. Original necklace hook is signed: "LISNER" and copyright symbol. The set dates circa 1950s-1960s.
