Brilliant cranberry and tangerine chaton aurora borealis rhinestones emphasize the orange (hyacinth) marquises adorning this '60s vintage cross pendant necklace in gold tone. Riveted / soldered to a flat bar back the fleur de lis tips and a ruffled filigree center add depth and dimension. The inclusion of stones adds uplifting sparkle and style to the symbolic cross.
The pendant proper is approximately 2 3/8 inches x 2 inches with a 5/16 inch profile or height. The gold tone chain with concealed bail is a wearable 24 inches long with spring ring clasp. Total length of chain and cross is about 26 3/8 inches. Marquise rhinestones are approximately 15 millimeters x 7 millimeters. Peripheral cranberry ab chaton rhinestones are about 4 millimeters. Center tangerine ab chaton is approximately 6 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is about 8 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact retaining color, ab finish and sparkle. No dark, discolored, dull or dead stones. Gold tone finish intact, front and back. All soldering / riveting secure. No dents or improper bends. Bail, chain linkage and clasp strong and secure. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The necklace / pendant are not signed. Design, materials, colors, construction and overall presentation indicate a 1960s vintage.
