Benedetto Panetta immigrated to New York City from Italy near the turn of the 20th century. He was employed by Trifari and later Pennino Brothers. In 1945 "Panetta" was born. It's doors closed in 1995. Panetta had worked with fine jewelry prior to his foray into costume and it shows. The same attention paid to diamond and platinum jewelry was implemented into rhinestone and rhodium plated imitations. The up swirled earrings presented, circa 1950s, set with pave rhinestones and faux pearls in rhodium plated metal, exemplify Panetta's timeless, classic design. As close to real as possible -- Panetta.
