Cody's is proud to present a pair of wonderful, late 19th century Victorian dangle earring in rose and yellow 14K gold with coral beads. Top rosette is a blossom of smooth rose gold layered with a Florentine finished yellow gold blossom crowned with a coral bead. The remaining dangling rosettes and accompanying leaves are in finely detailed Florentine finished yellow gold. They are applied (wired) to a smooth rose gold shield suspended with four spade style dangles in complimenting smooth rose gold. Ear wires are shepherd hooks with locks. Color, movement, texture, detail, dimension -- all in gold and coral. Victorian style and sensibility at it's best.
The earrings measure about 1 5/8 inches (add 3/8 inch for wires) x 1/2 inch at their shoulders (widest) point. Coral beads are approximately 3 millimeters.
Condition is excellent vintage / antique. All components original and intact. We have noticed absolutely no damage. No dents or improper bends. No pulled or loose wiring. No chips, nicks, cracks or breaks to coral beads. Ear wires in proper shape and alignment with secure lock. All dangles original. Clean. No polishing done. Patina intact. No damage / no repairs. Commensurate age wear only. Excellent / near pristine vintage / antique.
The earrings are not marked. They have tested as 14K gold and date to the late 19th century. Genuine / authentic Victorian era earrings.
