Five emerald green marquise rhinestone flower blossoms grace the center span of this delightful '50s vintage rhodium plated necklace. Each link in the bilateral chains is set with a clear chaton rhinestone as is the center of each flower blossom. One would look at the necklace's design, materials, construction and workmanship and think Bogoff, although the piece is unsigned.
The necklace measures a fixed approximate 16 1/2 inches with rhinestone set fold over clasp. Decorative center span is about 5 inches x 1 inch at it's widest point. Largest green marquises are approximately 10 millimeters x 5 millimeters; chain chatons, about 5 millimeters. Weight of the necklace is a substantial 62 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components intact. All rhinestones intact and brilliant. Emerald green stones retain beautiful, even color and sparkle. Bilateral chain rhinestones uniformly clear and brilliant with no dark, cloudy or dead stones. The tiny chaton rhinestones in the fold over clasp have dimmed a bit from contact wear. We have opted to leave them original. All rhodium plate intact, front and back. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
The necklace is not signed. It is very similar to Bogoff's work, circa 1950s.
