Hobe treats us once again with it's incomparable mix of intriguing art glass beads. From infused black / clear glass oblongs with blue, green, orange / yellow and white blotched foil centers to iridescent pink crater beads, mirror backed purple glass beads and metallic violet windowpane rondelles, Hobe's bracelet is a double feature delight. Circa 1950s-1960s, the adjustable bracelet boast two rows of graduated glass beads, metal rondelles and bluish purple spacer beads strung on fine gauge chain and attached to textured silver tone end bars. Closure is via hook and beaded extension tail.
The bracelet is adjustable from about 7 1/2 inches to 8 1/2 inches. When largest center beads are placed flush side by side, width is approximately 1 inch. Oblong beads are about 22 millimeters x 12 millimeters. Largest faceted purple and iridescent crater beads are approximately 10 to 11 millimeters. Weight of the bracelet is about 44 grams.
Condition is excellent vintage. All components original and intact. All beads free from chips, nicks, cracks, or breaks. Bead treatments, colors, and interiors as created. Silver tone metal finishes intact, fronts and backs. Strands remain secure with Hobe's signature construction of durable and strong fine gauge chain linkage. Extremely clean. No damage / no repairs. Excellent vintage.
Reverse of each end bar is signed "Hobe'". The bracelet dates to circa 1950s-1960s.
